How it works
Three gestures, one ritual.
Draw your card
Shuffle your Astral Compass deck, focus on your question or intention for the day, then draw a card. The physical gesture is part of the ritual.
Scan and listen
Place your card, open the app, and let augmented reality reveal the message. Voice guidance helps you understand and feel.
Reflect and note
Answer the introspection questions, capture your mood. In a few minutes, you have your anchor for the day.
What makes Astral Compass unique
Your deck comes alive.
AR Scan
Place your physical card and scan it. The app recognises each arcana and displays a hologram with key symbols, words, and a luminous aura.
Voice guidance
A soft, steady voice guides you for 60 to 90 seconds. It helps you welcome the card's message and anchor it in your day.
Astro lens
Enter your birth date and your sun sign colours every reading. A subtle filter that personalises your ritual without weighing it down.
Private journal
After each draw, capture your mood and reflections. Browse your history and watch how you evolve, day after day.
Multi-card spreads
Choose from six different spreads: Celtic cross, three-card, relationship and more. Each card reveals in turn with its own message.
Daily ritual
Receive a card chosen for you each morning. A simple ritual that weaves reflection into your routine.

Why Astral Compass?
I created Astral Compass because I was looking for a simple ritual to reconnect with myself every morning.
It all started with a tarot deck forgotten in a drawer and a desire to slow down. I wanted to build a bridge between the physical gesture — drawing a card, touching it, turning it over — and technology, without one overshadowing the other.
Astral Compass is not a divination app. It's an introspection tool that uses tarot symbolism as a mirror. Each card is a question, not an answer.

The App
What is Astral Compass?
Astral Compass is an iOS app that turns your daily tarot draw into an introspection ritual. Scan your physical card in augmented reality, listen to voice guidance, and journal your reflections — all in under five minutes.
Do I need tarot experience?
Not at all. The app explains each card's symbolism and guides you step by step. It's designed for curious beginners as much as seasoned readers.
Is the app free?
The app is free to download and use. The physical Astral Compass deck is sold separately and unlocks the full augmented reality experience.
The Deck
Which cards are included?
The Astral Compass deck contains all 22 Major Arcana, each illustrated with original artwork designed for augmented reality recognition.
Can I use my own deck?
The AR scan feature requires the Astral Compass deck for card recognition. However, you can also draw a card directly in the app without scanning.
What are reversed cards?
A reversed card appears upside-down during your draw. The app detects orientation automatically and offers an alternate reading that invites deeper reflection.
Privacy & Data
Is my data private?
Yes. Your reflections and journal entries stay on your device. We never sell personal data and only share it with the service providers listed in our privacy policy. Analytics are off by default and pseudonymous.
Can I export my data?
Absolutely. You can export all your rituals, reflections, and settings as a JSON file at any time from the app's settings screen.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Card draws, journaling, and voice guidance with the built-in Apple device voice all work without an internet connection. The optional Gradium cloud voice requires connectivity.
